Scripture Scratch Art Set
-
I’ve tried quite a few scratch art kits over the years, and this one really stands out for its quality. The colors underneath the black coating are vibrant and beautiful, and I especially liked having several different tools to choose from. It’s a little more expensive than some other options, but the quality makes it feel worth the price.
-
I completed one of the designs and was really happy with how it turned out. The paper held up well, and I didn’t have to press too hard to remove the gray coating. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of art.
-
The artwork becomes surprisingly vivid as you scratch away the dark top layer and reveal the colorful image underneath. You don’t need to be an experienced artist to enjoy it—the process itself is creative and rewarding. It could also make a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys Christian-themed artwork.
what's the 5-Piece Tool Kit?
what's the 5-Piece Tool Kit?
Every set comes with one stylus, and all four pictures can be finished with just that. The 5-Piece Tool Kit is for people who want more control: a pointed wooden stick that lifts wide areas without tearing the foil, a red-handled steel blade that clears open ground faster, a capped pen knife for tight corners, a knurled metal scriber with a brass tip at one end and a fine steel point at the other for detail like thorns and hair, and a soft brush that sweeps the black flecks away without smearing them across the foil.
Before and after
The same sheet, before the first scratch and after about two hours.
Two hours of one small motion
The black lifts away in flecks and the copper and gold underneath comes through. Nothing to plan, nothing to decide.
Four pictures, eight hours, something on the wall
Each sheet is 16 by 11 inches. Big enough to frame, and four of them fill a wall.
Nothing to get wrong
The grey lines are already printed. Scratch along them, leave the black alone, and it comes out right.
FAQs
How does the scratching actually work?
How does the scratching actually work?
Each sheet arrives matte black with faint grey guide shapes printed on it. The top layer scratches off along those shapes and the copper, orange and gold foil underneath comes through. The black areas stay black — that is what holds the picture together.
Is it messy?
Is it messy?
Dry black flecks only. No ink, no dust, nothing sticky. They brush straight off the table.
What size are the pictures and will they fit a frame?

I really love the final product and the religious theme, but the black scratch-off material leaves a bit of a mess on the desk. Still a great activity!
